The engine is completely disassembled at the beginning of the

Detailed Inspection

Applicable metal components undergo magnetic-particle inspection
to help identify microscopic cracks and fissures that could affect

Precision Machining

Deck surfaces are CNC machined where applicable, while components
are measured and prepared for final assembly.
New Replacement Components
Depending on the assembly, new components can include bearings,
pistons, rings, lifters, oil pumps, gaskets, valve seals, freeze
plugs and galley plugs. Timing-system components are also addressed
according to the engine configuration.
Final SIM Testing
After reassembly, the engine undergoes SIM testing. The cooling
and oil systems are pressurized and the crankshaft is spun at
high RPM to help verify compression and overall build quality.
